In order to be eligible for the Dual Dogwood, students enrolled in the French Immersion Program at Reynolds must successfully complete the following courses :
Français langue seconde - immersion 9, 10, 11 and 12
"The aim of the French Immersion Language Arts program is to motivate all students to become educated citizens capable of questioning the world around them. Through the acquisition of Curricular Competencies, students are guided to develop their critical and creative thinking skills, and to formulate hypotheses, collaborate, and solve problems. In this program, the French language is considered a tool for reflection and communication that enables students to contribute to the society in which they live." Students will explore and analyze different francophone texts to understand the implicit and explicit messages, and to deepen their understanding of the cultures that produced them.

This course gives students the opportunity to develop their language abilities through the exploration of language and culture from the Francophone world, and is organized around the following themes:

Students will continue explore and analyze Francophone texts in order to understand the social, cultural and historical contexts.
Français langue seconde - immersion 12
Students will use their knowledge of francophone language and culture to understand their place in the French speaking world.

Sciences 9 and 10
"The Science curriculum includes content from biology, chemistry, physics, and earth and space sciences at the K-9 level. In Grades 10-12, the content expands to include anatomy and physiology, environmental science, geology, and specialized science. The curriculum gives students the opportunity to develop the skills, processes, attitudes, and scientific habits of mind that allow them to pursue their own inquiries using scientific methods. Using critical thinking, creative insight, and their current scientific knowledge, students collaborate, investigate, solve problems, communicate, innovate, discover, and increase their understanding of science through hands-on experience. Students have opportunities to develop personal and social awareness of their roles and responsibilities with respect to the environment." "The primary goal of Social Studies education is to give students the knowledge, skills, and competencies to be active, informed citizens who are able to think critically, understand and explain the perspectives of others, make judgments, and communicate ideas effectively. Through their study of historical events, students will gain an understanding of the people, places, issues, and events that have shaped the world they live in. The Social Studies curriculum provides opportunities for students to learn about Canadian society, our democratic institutions, and the rights and responsibilities of Canadian citizens. It explores how students can have an impact on the decisions made in their society and advocate for causes important to them. Students will also understand the importance of being open to new ideas and civil to those with whom they disagree in creating a healthy and vibrant democracy."
