The purpose of the French Immersion program is to give non-francophone students the opportunity to become functionally bilingual. The French Immersion program differs from the Francophone Program because it was conceived for second language learners. As such, students complete some of their core academic courses with French as the language of instruction while continuing to receive instruction in English.
